Tips: How to properly maintain a submersible level sensor?
The submersible level sensor essentially is a pressure transducer that measures the liquid level. Based on the principle that the static pressure of the measured liquid is proportional to the height of the liquid, it uses an isolated diffused silicon sensitive element or a ceramic capacitive pressure sensitive sensor to convert the static pressure into the electrical signal. The electrical signal is converted into a standard electrical signal after temperature compensation and linear correction. Submersible level sensor is generally suitable for liquid level measurement of various media in petrochemical, metallurgy, electric power, pharmaceutical, water supply and drainage and environmental protection.
The correct maintenance method of submersible level sensor:

  1. Clean the submersible level sensor once a month.
  2. When cleaning, first open the cap of the stainless steel pipe, and carefully take out the water level sensor. Then remove the sundries (such as aquatic plants, plankton, etc.) attached to the water level sensor.
  3. When cleaning the pressure-guiding hole of the water level sensor, you can use trichloroethylene or alcohol to inject the pressure-guiding hole to the half of its height and soak it for about 5 minutes. Then shake it slightly and repeat it several times until it is cleaned.
  4. It is forbidden to use any utensils to clean the pressure-guiding holes, so as not to damage the pressure-sensitive diaphragm.
  5. When cleaning the pressure interface of the submersible level transmitter, avoid using a too hard brush or metal tool, otherwise, it will damage the sensitive core and the thread of the pressure interface.
  6. After cleaning, put the water level transmitter back into the stainless steel pipe slowly, feel that the lower part of the stainless steel pipe has been placed, and then install the cap back to its original place.
  7. After removing, cleaning and reinstalling, because the installation depth of the submersible level sensor will change to a certain extent, it is necessary to compare the water level gauge at the time of the unified water level of the sluice again, and correct the detection value of the secondary instrument to ensure the accuracy of the sampling data.
