Note:
Even if you turn OFF the main circuit power supply, this indicator will light as long as the internal capacitor remains charged. Do not touch the main circuit or motor terminals while this indicator is lit. Doing so may result in electric shocks.
5 Main Circuit Terminals The terminals depend on the main circuit power supply input specifications of the SERVOPACK.
6 Servo Motor Terminals (U, V, W) The connection terminals for the servo motor main circuit cable (power line).
7 Ground Terminal The ground terminals to prevent electric shock. Always connect this terminal.

AC Servo Drive FAQs

1. How do I choose the right AC servo drive?
Choose a servo drive based on the servo motor's rated power, voltage, current, encoder type, control mode, and communication protocol. The drive and motor should be electrically compatible and preferably selected from a matched servo system.

2. Can an AC servo drive be used with any servo motor?
Not always. Servo drives must support the motor's voltage, rated current, feedback device, and encoder communication format. Using an unmatched drive and motor may cause alarms, unstable operation, or poor positioning accuracy.

3. What is the difference between a servo drive and a VFD?
A servo drive is designed for high-precision position, speed, and torque control using encoder feedback. A VFD mainly controls the speed of an AC induction or synchronous motor and is generally used where precise positioning and rapid dynamic response are not required.
