Tips: Variable frequency control of AC PM synchronous motor
The electromagnetic torque of AC synchronous motor is related to the size of the included angle α between the stator and rotor magnetic field axis.
For permanent magnet synchronous motors with hidden pole rotor (p=1),
When α=0°, only radial force is applied to the rotor, no electromagnetic torque is formed.
When 0° < α < 90°, the force applied to the rotor can be decomposed into a radial component and a tangential component, in which the tangential component produces the electromagnetic torque.
When α=90°, the rotor is only subjected to tangential force, and the electromagnetic torque is the maximum, which is called the maximum synchronous torque.
