Tips: Why control transformers are needed for lathe control circuits？

The control transformer is mainly used for "control", mainly to change the primary voltage to the voltage suitable for the electrical control circuit. For example, for the safety of lathe operators, the lathe control circuit is generally reduced to 36V safe voltage. Here we need a 380/36V control transformer.
